Guided by the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC), the selection aims to showcase innovation in the internet sector and encourage enterprises to pursue high-quality development. Ten cases were ultimately chosen for their outstanding contributions to core technological breakthroughs, empowering the real economy, advancing cultural prosperity, and improving societal well-being. Since its launch in 2022, Meitu's "National Patterns Project" has leveraged the company's long-standing AI capabilities to merge traditional Chinese aesthetics with digital imaging. The project has brought together hundreds of intangible cultural heritage inheritors, illustrators, and AI designers to co-create themed collections, including the Year of the Snake, Beijing, and Xinjiang editions. The series has been used more than 500 million times, bringing traditional Chinese patterns into modern life through digital means and contributing to cultural vitality.

As the first company in China to initiate a "Digital Communication Project for Traditional Chinese Culture," Meitu continues to promote the rejuvenation of traditional culture. Through university partnerships and co-creation programs with students, Meitu is cultivating young creative talent to ensure the inheritance and broader reach of traditional culture.

At the Digital-Economy Forum of the 2025 WIC Wuzhen Summit, Yang Jianwen, Deputy Director of the CAC, and Liu Xin, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial People’s Congress, attended and delivered speeches.  John Hoffman, CEO of the GSMA, and Karen Tan, Managing Director and Greater China Chair of the World Economic Forum, gave keynote speeches.
