Meitu exhibits its new technical achievements at the China International Beauty Expo, serving the beauty industry with cutting-edge technology

On September 4th, the 58th China International Beauty Expo was held in Guangzhou, with more than 4,000 brands and enterprises from 26 countries and regions exhibiting, and more than 100 media attending to report industry trends and corporate innovations.


Meitu exhibited its scientific skin analysis product MeituEve and virtual makeup trial product MeituGenius at booth D49 in Hall 11.3, Zone B of the exhibition, showcasing its capacity in providing better services for the digital upgrade of the beauty industry with intelligent solutions.

The team, led by Dr. Kejia Zhao, a dermatologist from Zhejiang University, have been studying skin images based on strict medical standards and generating results that gradually enhance the accuracy of MeituEve's AI skin analysis.

In 2020, MeituEve and Dr. Wang Sijia, Deputy Director of the Biomedical Data Center of the Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, began a collaboration in the field of skin genomics to further upgrade MeituEve's skin analysis algorithm.


Meitu has also entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with the Shanghai Skin Disease Hospital. This agreement has provided a massive amount of clinical data to train Meitu’s machine learning-based skin detection technology. In addition, a team of expert medical professionals has been tasked to review the accuracy of Meitu's algorithm and to offer specific advice to users based on the condition of their skin, as well as develop personalized skincare plans for users.


The continuous upgrade of MeituEve's algorithm also brings users a new experience. At the 26th China Beauty Expo this year, MeituEve launched the Degree of Aging Detection Standard, which was the first time for the standard to be launched for use in the cosmetics and beauty-related industries.
