On November 17th, Meitu held the “Everything that Originates from Beauty – Meitu Future Aesthetics Strategy” kick-off meeting in Beijing. At the meeting, Wu Xinhong, Meitu’s founder and CEO, announced the launch of the “Future Aesthetician Co-Creation Plan”, which aims to include the public in creating beauty trends by assisting them with professional aesthetic insights and leading the development of aesthetic trends.

Co-creation of Future Aesthetics

Artists from different fields were invited to join the kickoff meeting, including: Timmy Yip, a visual artist known as the “godfather of Eastern Aesthetics” and the winner of Best Production Design at the 73rd Academy Awards; Gao Peng, Director of the Future Design Center at Beijing Normal University and Honorary Director of the Today Art Museum; Ms. Li Qianrun, co-publisher of domus Greater China and a renowned Content Innovation and Marketing Integration expert; Jun Jun, a styling artist and accomplished jewelry designer as well as the Chief Designer of the Forbidden City Series Jewelry line “Zhong Hua”; Tian Xiaolei, a pioneering artist; Kuri, a post-90s illustrator; Electric Cherry (电气樱桃), an electronic fusion music band, as well as many other artists.

These artists are united in their attentiveness to the development of Eastern aesthetics and agreeance that the future of aesthetics should be created by the public. They take it as their responsibility to participate in promoting the efficient advancement of the future aesthetics system.
