Actively passing on positive energy, Meitu signs a donation agreement with Pengshui County High School for Nationalities

Coordinated by the Central Foreign Affairs Office, the donation ceremony for the “Care About Women Program” was held at Pengshui County High School for Nationalities on September 24th, with Vice Principal Ren Ping, Director of Financial Aid Liao Xiufeng, and related Meitu staff attending the ceremony.

At the ceremony, Meitu donated RMB 100,000 worth of care packages, which include personal sanitation supplies, to support the healthy growth of the female students at the school.

At the ceremony, Ren Ping, on behalf of the school, thanked Meitu for their kindness, saying “This donation not only shows Meitu's care and concern for our female students in Pengshui, but also shows the love and support of all the caring people of Meitu for the education of minorities living in the poor mountainous areas of Chongqing. This donation not only brings material support, but also spiritual support, to our students, inspiring our female students to be more self-respecting, self-confident, self-reliant and self-improving, and will continuously increase their confidence in learning and their courage to overcome difficulties. We must continue to study and work hard to give back to society in the future.”

In the 13 years since its founding, Meitu has accumulated 2.32 billion users worldwide, 80% of whom are female users who love and share beauty. Meitu attaches great importance to female wellbeing, and has launched the “Care About Women Program” for women in need of help, delivering care and warmth to women through public welfare donations.

At the same time, Meitu is trying to make the world a more beautiful place by making contributions to society in many other ways. For example, to help during the pandemic outbreak in Xiamen, Fujian, Meitu donated RMB 1 million to the Xiamen Charity Federation for the prevention and control of the pandemic in Tong'an District.

The donation to Pengshui school is just the beginning of Meitu's practice in caring for female groups and represents a microcosm of Meitu's continuous practice of social responsibility.
