Meitu donates RMB 1 million to Xiamen Charity Federation to help fight the pandemic

A sudden outbreak of the pandemic made Xiamen city press the "pause button" since September 13th. As a company founded in Xiamen, Fujian, Meitu reacted quickly and contributed to the anti-pandemic work by donating money and organizing volunteers.

On the morning of September 14th, Wu Xinhong, founder and CEO of Meitu, presided over a meeting with the company's pandemic prevention team and made urgent arrangements. First, all employees in Meitu's Xiamen office immediately began working from home. All employees were directed to conduct nucleic acid testing in accordance with the requirements of Xiamen's Epidemic Command Office in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. Second, communication was strengthened between Meitu and its neighborhood administration to provide due support for the prevention of the pandemic in Xiamen while ensuring the safety of employees. Third, Meitu strengthened the coordination of the company's pandemic prevention resources, such as masks and disinfectant solutions, to meet pandemic prevention needs. Fourth, contingency plans were arranged for all scenarios. Meitu also ensured there would be an effective response in case of a confirmed case among our employees.

Starting at 12PM on September 14th, Meitu's Xiamen office employees began working from home.

On September 20th, after learning that the situation in Tong'an District was becoming more serious, Meitu contacted the Xiamen Charity Federation and arranged an urgent donation of RMB 1 million for the prevention and control of the pandemic in Tong'an.

On September 22nd, eight communist party members from Meitu, namely Zhan Pingping, Chen Tingting (Kristen), Huang Yaochi, Chen Zeyang, Ye Jieying, Lin Jiliang, Zhang Ziye and Huang Jiangling, formed a volunteer working group and went to the nucleic acid testing site of Software Park II under the unified arrangement of the park's pandemic prevention working group.

At the same time, we learned that many of our colleagues, such as Huang Yaochi, Ye Bingji, Chen Jun and Sun Yanfang, had already taken the initiative to participate in community volunteer work, struggling on the front line to fight the pandemic. All employees who work from home continued to complete their tasks on time with quality and efficiency.

Anti-pandemic work is a war without smoke or gunpowder. The current situation is still severe, and medical staff are still fighting bravely at the forefront. Meitu will continue to take moves in accordance with the requirements of the city to ensure the safety of its employees and contribute to the city.
